Chantilly, VA – July 8, 2008 – Apptis, Inc., a leading IT services and solutions provider to the federal marketplace, announced today that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded a multi-year task order valued at approximately $25 million, to provide critical network operations and information assurance support to the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL and Bahrain.
USCENTCOM is a joint services Combatant Command responsible for the Combat Operations within South West Asia (SWA), which includes Iraq and Afghanistan.

As entrusted by DISA, under the terms of the agreement, Apptis provides 24x7 Tier 1 and 2 network operations and help desk support to ensure continuous USCENTCOM command and control communications systems are available to the warfighter. By enhancing the network management infrastructure and providing services for continuous availability, classified and unclassified communication flows securely and efficiently via voice, data, video and satellite to command centers within SWA and the United States.
